About Heidi
I have spent the majority of my life dedicated to the art of movement.
At the tender age of five, I discovered dance. Throughout my childhood I was either taking ballet lessons or putting on my own performances in our backyard. By the time I was a teen, I was training full-time at a professional ballet school. Dance was my passion.
After graduating college, I was hired first at the State Ballet of Missouri and then later at the Cincinnati Ballet. Eventually I landed at Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal where I attained the rank of soloist after just three years. Over the course of my thirteen-year career, I danced both classical and contemporary work and was fortunate enough to be featured in principal, soloist and ensemble roles.
After the birth of my son in 2008, I retired from dance to focus on being a mom and found work as a freelance copywriter and part-time dance teacher. In 2019, I discovered the Anat Baniel Method Neuromovement (ABMNM). Wanting a shift in careers, I soon realized that ABMNM was my new calling. My dance background providing a perfect segue into the work, I made the decision to become an ABMNM practitioner where I could dedicate myself to helping people live their best lives. Now fully certified, I have witnessed firsthand the transformative nature of the work both in my clients as well as myself.
